During my research for my thesis on Algorithmically Generated Tonal Music, I was fortunate to run across the research from McGill University, called "The Euclidean Algorithm Generates Traditional Musical Rhythms", that uses a modified version of the Euclidean Algorithm called the Bjorklund algorithm.
