Research Projects

Research has played an integral part in my education at Hood College. I began my Research in the Fall of 2007 and have continued my research efforts throughout my Junior and Senior years. My first efforts came about simply by talking with some of the Professors at Hood College about opportunities to do some research (outside of Hood). After a while, Ahmed Salem at Hood College was willing to help me.

We began doing a simple Survey to learn how these projects begin and then moved on to writing Proof of Concepts. Each paper that I had written offered me an opportunity to learn a style of writing that many students do not learn through High School or in most Undergraduate Colleges and Universities. Each paper was submitted to conferences and were both had been accepted by the end of my Junior Year of College.

This offered me two new learning opportunities to present my research in front of an audience of experts in Computer Science. Though this experience was very nerve-racking at first, it was a great experience and the support and praise that I recieved due to my being an undergraduate at a conference designed for Doctoral and Post-Doctoral works was very beneficial to not only my career as a student, but also in my work elsewhere.
